I just rang my insurer (EAGLE STAR!!!11) to ask where my new insurance disc is, as I called them 2 weeks ago to inform them I had changed the reg plates from UK ones to Irish ones.

I gave the lady on the phone the reg number. "Is that Niamh?" she says.

Turns out the wagon I spoke to registered *my* car TO SOMEONE ELSE.

So I guess I have been driving around, effectively without any insurance, for 2 weeks!

Thank God I did not have an accident...
